Star Channel aired yesterday the on air comments of Anna Vissi. She told on camera that she never excludes Eurovision Song Contest participation as long as everything is organized accordingly. This basically means that the artist is focusing into finding the best song to represent Greece.

Star Channel claiming secure ERT sources also aired that during this week the Greek national broadcaster (ERT) will officially propose to Anna Vissi the 2006 entry. This piece of news is also confirmed by other external sources.

Though it is extremely early to announce that she will accept. The sounding proposal to her record label (management) has already taken place. The name of Anna Vissi is widely heard within the Greek media since Cosmote became the official Eurovision 2006 sponsor since the company has also exclusive contract to sponsor the specific artist.

During an interview on Love Radio Fm, Anna Vissi confirmed her interest to participate in Eurovision 2006 under specific conditions for which she gave no details. Anna Vissi represented Greece in 1980 (13th) and Cyprus in 1982 (5th). She one of the few artists in Greece which are called Super Star.
