The news presented here are deriving from exterior to ERT and Anna Vissi and although considered secure, cannot be verified at the moment. The first news from the Greek selection is the number of the songs. It is highly unlikely to see five songs in the song selection. The most possible scenario is to have a selection among three to four songs. By Friday, ERT, Sony Music and Anna Vissi will decide the final list of songs.
So far we have two songs known. The first is by Nikos Karvelas titled "Let's go and have some fun" (provisional title). The song is dance pop act similar to Nylon (in terms of production and sound). The second is by Dimitris Korgialas which was recorded (as demo) last week. There will be one foreign composer (Swedish). The song by Sofi Papas (the title of which can cause great deal of laugh) seems not to have been qualified in the final.
There are many composers submitting songs in the record label of Anna Vissi. Though many names cannot be confirmed at this point this is why we cannot reveal them. Oikotimes.com conducts a web poll among fans and visitors of the website over who can be a suitable composer for Anna Vissi. Christos Dantis (who clearly stated he will not participated in the song selection) tops the voting by almost 33%. It is weird to see that Nikos Karvelas (Anna's mentor and manager) is 7th with almost 4% of the votes. The results are based on almost 1.170 votes so far. The poll will continue until the names of the composer and the song titles to be known.
The song selection is scheduled for 8 or 9 of March (provisional date) at Votanikos Music Center where anyway Anna Vissi performs until March 5. According to ERT there is a thought that the composers of the songs might not be known for the public during the voting something difficult since the names and the song titles are already leaked. There will be 60% televoting and 40 jury voting. Anna Vissi (even without a song yet) is highly considered automatically (among fans) as one of the top favourites for Eurovision 2006.
