For the first time in the recent history of Eurovision there was a lot of boing in the audience- not really heard since the booing of British entries way back in the 80's. It's sad to say, but this kind of treatmant against some of the artists overshadowed the excellent show produced by ERT. Iceland's Silvia Night suffered from it because of a misunderstanding and the irony is that she played the role of a Diva with big D. That one can take since her behaviour was quite unusual for ESC.

More serious was the boing at Lithuania and also Sweden. You don´t know anything about sportmanship when you let that sound echo in the arena when a country (Lithuania) qualifies against all the odds. Then in the final, you can not change what happened in the semifinal with boing- it happened, accept it. And then Sweden. Anna Vissi, afraid of losing, points the audience and started to scream in a negative way when it was her turn as well. All this was noticed by the tv-commentators and mentioned in at least Norway, Denmark and Sweden during both the semifinal and the final.

Therefore we are sure that Greek performer Anna Vissi lost a lot of points as televoters in some way were ready to punish Greece for bad behaviour in the audience. One thing that Escsweden.com can asure all you ESC-lovers is- No matter how much you hate a song or artist, you'll never hear booing in the Hartwall Arena in the capital of Finland next year, that´s for sure!
