...venti cinque !!!! She's still "venti cinque" as the spanish narrator says , still 25 , in all her videos , all her appearances !!! What if her id card shows she's approaching 50 ?? Her face , her body and most of all her soul - something impossible to manipulate by "lifting" , "botox" or any kind of plastic surgery - are still stuck on 25 !!!!

Why is it so hard to admit that "age" is not a shame for a singer ? Do we complain when we are served with an "aged wine" ? Don't we know that the quality and the price get higher , the more aged a good wine is ? Why do we need the necessity to talk negatively about a star when his/her date of birth get further away from what the calendar shows today ? Is always the young better ? Are we talking about a singer to listen to or about a fresh fish to eat ? Why Vissi has to feel embarassed because she's no longer 18 ? Why do we still claim she's even more than 50 and she hides some years ? What would please us ? To - all of a sudden- find out that she was born in 1925 ??? Would it be enough for the ones not yet satisfied from the number of 50 to bargain with her for the age of 65 ? What is our difference from the brutal Romans waiting to see the blood of gladiators in Colosseum ? "Arena" means "sand" and the sand is used to absorb the blood since it is hard to wash away all the dirty remainings from the marble or stone after each fight ... Because we always need new victims to feel pleased . Now the victim's name is Anna . She has a young look and this is unbearable , we have to prove she's even older than what she and all the records say , to use her age as a blasphemy against her and to feel happy while she finally leaves the arena defeated ... 

And why all these ? Because we get older ! And we can't cope with he fact that she doesn't ! Whereas if she lets herself look like our grandma , we'll feel happy ! This is what they call  "Shadenfreude" (feeling happy for somebody else's sorrow due to our "comparatively advantageous " position we are not as bad as he/she is )  .

I think these things do happen only in Greece , neither Tina Turner nor Mick Jagger have faced such rediculous discussions about their age not to say that everybody admires their performance calling them "giants" , "denosauri" or  "grandparents" of music . I had also mentioned the big respect of turkish people to Vissi's voice , successful carreer and appearance ...

By the way , the videos are wonderful and I'm happy to have found that link again because I was desperately opening all the old messages to find "gazi" etc I met in somedody else's link last week , with no result !! Thank you again !!!
